Round 10: Let the stats speak for themselves

Post by Alcoholics Unanimous on Thu May 15, 2014 6:29 pm

My daughter has spewed on everytime she's seen you. That's about how much we respect your team here in Remmers.

If I was you, I'd just give up, much like you did in darts last night...

Well Jaffa - your kicker less and on the decline. My Dragons will smoke you like a goatherds flock (is it a flock? Shit I don't know but at least I'm finally up to date with GoT!)

I can't see your inferior backbone worrying my superstars. I have 6 players with 5 tries or more this season. Ben Barba has also undeservedly been elevated to the starting side, I think that he will produce big this match.

I need some help with my for and against so hopefully they give Merrin and Gallen an early shower.

But where does she spew Dan? On you buddy, on you.

Hunt to haunt the tractors even more than he has already this season.

meanwhile, the Hipsters are looking for revenge from Round 1, and a share of the top of the table, against the LFBs. Five second analysis suggests a battle between the Hipsters backs and the Blancs forwards for supremacy in this one.

Interesting round for the top shb contenders this one, plenty of high profile clashes.

And the Blancas forwards will gain supremacy in this match there should be plenty of tackles and meters on offer in both the cowboys and the storm matches.

Worrying sign for the Hipsters when their marquee players comes out on game day with this statement:

Jesse Bromwich is probably one of the standout players in the competition. Sometimes he doesn't get the accolades he deserves – he's probably one of the best front-rowers in the comp

Your Commissioner will retain the Log and distance himself at the top of the table.

Other matches:
Dragons v Jaffs - I mean Ben cant even beat his B team at the moment.
Hams V Merkins - Merkins shot their load last week
Tractors v Zooms - Zooms to continue their climb up the ladder
OA v Karruptas - Are the Karruptas even playing anymore?

Short story shorter:  No.  A typical Krims display of apathy directly associated with being mud.

As for you Richo, the only shit I remember is when The Tractors shat all over you in round 1 with one of the most dominant forward displays in 2014.  Consider it an achievement if you get double figures this time...

magnanimous chat from the best player in OUR comp, at 8 points a game, Sammy B can say what he likes.

look out for Ben Hannant to come back with a score to settle this week.  No

Woops, picked up a new hooker to replace Ash Harrison and forgot to select him. Fortunately, Tim is even more asleep at the wheel with his coaching duties than i am, not picking the new goalkicker he just bought.

I could be looking at back to back non-losses, which sadly would represent the high point of my season so far

Sadly, he's not that new.  This is the second week in a row Timmah hasn't played him...

That's poor coaching for sure

Sort of like me not knowing SBW was playing at 5/8 this week, not in the 2nd row. Still, looks like Cam Smith got a DF playing in the same position so not all hope is lost yet

Thanks for the earlier rev up Dan. The boys have listened and listened and you're now about 35 in the hole with plenty of zoom firepower to go. And you're lucky double Pauli didn't get picked this week.

Don't even start about embarrassments!

Here's hoping Friend's 59 tackles is the turning point. There are more than enough Tractors left to save it.

In saying that, if I have a chance, the Warriors have to lose, and lose big...

Tractors will need more of a miracle than the Merks did.

Gallen the difference between the two Ackermen so far.

Could have used Tariq's try...

If I'm within striking distance on Monday, I should have enough firepower to get over the line.

More charity for you though Dan, linnett ended up with a hat-trick and likely pp while taking away Gordon's kicks reduces it by 8. Could be worse. Much worse.

Well no such luck there for the warriors or the doggies. Merks looking more dangerous than there table position would suggest.

Dogs v warriors was the first game i've watched in ages and it reminded how shit the peoples player voting is.

Graham is a good choice for MOTM, but Hodkinson threw one nice pass and didn't fuck up in too spectacular a fashion. So 2 points? Josh Jackson worked hard but never stood out. 1 point? Reynolds shouted at the ref once but was otherwise invisible, and i say that as his SHB coach. Ennis getting any votes is ridiculous.

All these guys polled higher than T-Rex who pretty much dragged the dogs back into the game single handedly at the back end of the 1st half. There needs to be some sort of test people have to pass before they vote. Rant over.

Jorge porgie pudding and pie!

Kind of feel sorry for the Knights, bet there'll be regretting those 3 m

In other news, my b team just handed victory to Mu, leaving out 3 tries from Don and Simmons. For shame!

And so we come to the bye and origin period, be interesting to see the depth that people have.

Meant to read 3 misses shots at goal above.

P.s also for shame to the Jaffas who have time to pick up and drop Kalifa Fai Fai Loa, but don't have time to post in the forum ahead of a T-Z trophy match. Poor!

well it turns out the Hipsters won the battle of the backs AND the forwards, but crucially, got massacred in the halves, and that was the difference.

Not happy about the probable call up for Hodkinson! When I selected him over Richards, I made a big consideration for this origin period. Dogs have a favourable draw for the bye rounds, and I figured Hodkinson could have given me an edge. Richards is looking like the better choice now. FUCK!
