Rivalry Round: come get some

Post by Actionman on Thu Mar 27, 2014 4:54 am

Blanca - my Dragons are gonna take you down like a Dhalsim Yoga Fire.

Drags welcome back Fensom and Joshy Mac back to the forward pack - and good to see goal kicker supremo Joe Paulo into the Eels starting 13.

Dragons area also hopeful that Taufua, O'Neill or Mansour might get a run too.

Dhalsim never took anybody down, he was gaunt retired indian farmer with a bad case of indigestion.

Its about to get real for you shit sipper, LFB's are 3 and 0. Danny's team of "Freaks and try scorers" managed to score 3 points last week. 3 points!!!!!!!!!

So better dust off that Moussaka recipe champ you are going to need all the comfort food you can get your hands on. Come monday night it is going to feel like you have spent a long weekend at a Sudanese glory hole.

Other Games:

Merkins to suffer from the Sandow factor and offer the krims their first points of the season.

Rich's team isnt as shit as his early season display would have you believe. Surely the roosters dont have another 50 points in them this week against the Sea Eagles. I am tipping the Zoo's by 8

Sammy Rap is back and so are the Hipsters! Danny's slippery ladder slide to continue.

Bens B team continue to surprise sitting in 6th position, still though no Zillman this week. Oh wait thats right its Zillman, OA to get it done over the hams

Not so sure about my chances this week.

Getting decimated by injury

Lost Edrick Lee for the season, huge blow, Brett Stewart still out, Hannant still out, Lawrence still out, Sika Manu the same.

And Ben has snaked me for Lee's replacement.

Still. It is Danny, so I should be fine.

My reference was to Danny isn't exactly a very high benchmark. In fact your 3 victories this year have been against 3 teams with a grand total of zero premierships to their name.

Your playing with the big boys now Sipp

And don't forget when the chips were down last season you and your mug Snowden choked. That cost you a premiership and I don't see anything changing this year.

Oh all is lost! I thought you were top of the table - but actually your (sic) Tim in disguise.

If you want to play Grammar police then go back to the peleton.

Your team is unproven and amateur - that clear enough for you son!

Whoa, since when was one of my squads a by word for mediocrity?  I think I need a rivalry round with everyone of you pusssyoles.  The Ranui / Kilburn / Hamil-Toe / Remuera franchise has a fine tradition, and not just in moving every second season.

Every year we are mentioned in top 5 drafts, almost every year we are there in the top 5 at the end of the season.  Not a single one of you considers a game against us a gimme, despite the bravado above, and we specialise in making reigning premiership teams our bitch.

As for Jasper, this is not poker.  You can not sit there and bluff me.  Playing the idiot will not work on me this time.  You have a bit part team, getting carried around the park by Jimbo Maloney.  I mean, ffs you're starting Latimore and Rapira?  What ever will I do now?

My players were quiet last week. Very quiet. I don't expect that to happen two weeks in a row. Prepare for the backlash.

Challenge! The zooms haven't got off to the best of starts this year but quite frankly I don't give a shit. There's plenty of talent in this squad and the jaffarts shall be the first to feel their wrath in this weeks rivalry/log double whammy.

I humbly apologise for radio silence this week, my son's birthday has been more important than you mugs.

Bring on the Challenge Zooms, the Log knows it belongs and it isn't with your washed up ass. Jaffarts? Appreciate you trying to come up with something new fella, but that's weak.

Surely there'll be the same barrage of tries from the Jafs? Reddy worth a hat-trick, that talented son of a bitch **ahem**

Hams, how do you feel about getting beaten to make it 0 from 4 against the all but ruled out TOA? I'll happily go in as the underdog but that will just make victory even sweeter.

Watch out for the Zillman/Don swap out leading the front for the 'rookie' back line that managed to breeze past the Zooms last week.

Robbed! Watmough is 1 tackle short of a defensive A, and 4 metres, 1 tb or 1 offload short of an attacking A. The guy put in a mountain of work, worth far more than 4 points!

Hurrell: 169m, 1 try assist, 6 tbs, 2 offloads, 2 line breaks. Looks like I've discovered some second row gold! Thanks for the positional upgrade there Nearlysport. Hinchcliffe will have to do something amazing to retain his starting spot next week!

Already in the oven buddy - I'm not that disappointed with my team actually - gonna put on a fairly good score this week and still missing 3 of my best backs.

But 20 points from the Fish and tries from unlikely sources of mcQueen, Copley and Ma'u meant that no-one was gonna go with the blancas this weekend.

The worst news of the weekend is Fensom's injury - no one really has back row depth in this comp - and without Papalii and Fensom it's gonna be tough!

So it's all to play - honours pretty even between the Jafs and Zooms - Kyle Feldt and Albert Kelly surely going to mow down this paultry 33 point deficit...

Fuck me, thank god my front row showed up, otherwise Darts would eclipse an Aussie T20 score at this rate. Who's stupid fucking idea was this rivalry round anyway??

All you have to do is negotiate the Hams, Hipsters and Dragons at home then I get a chance to get my Log back. Doooo it.

Been texting with Jerome, he's pretty gutted, doesn't sound like the optimistic 6 weeks window is a real chance. I reckon he'll give it away end of the year. The Warriors were a joy to watch for a change!

Have you noticed how all the asshole teams lost this week? Roosters, Storm, St George, Bunnies, Sharks,

And if things keep going this way, Westeros, Jaffas, TOA...and others close to call.

Good week this week, 48 points with JT, Scott, Taumalolo, Winterstein, Paul Green and maybe even Ryan James yet to come.

I love the fish. But even without the fishes 20 points we should have accounted for the drags easily this week, 4 point deficit with the aformentioned to take the field including my kicker.

I cant believe my hack team has started the year 4 and 0. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

What looked like a total hiding has been saved some respectablity by a strong Hipsters' Knights contingent performance. Pity it all came way too late to have made the game any more exciting. Pretty stoked to be halfway towards a third pp this early in the season.

Now for Sezer to add some icing to the cake.

Actually not a bad showing from the Hipsters, coming up with plenty of points in spite of 5 key players out injured, and snake eyes from Maloney.

Seems like a week where all the crap teams win - the 3 bottom of the table teams and Danny.
